Arrived safely in Istanbul

Greetings from Istanbul. This is just a quick note to say that we arrived safely and met Hew in customs, so everyone who is supposed to be here is accounted for. We ended up sitting in the plane on the Tarmac for over an hour in Los Angeles before we could depart, so our arrival was delayed, but we met up with our friends here who got us settled in our apartments. I will let some of the students give you their first impressions in the days to come. For now, know that we are tired but happy and safe. More tomorrow. Suzanne Mallery
